My Story
Breanna was born and raised in Omaha Nebraska. As a child, she was involved in every sport imaginable. Once she got into Middle School she was introduced to theatre and performing arts. From then on she was encapsulated and her parents realized that putting her in so many sports as a child was a lost cause. She continued in Theatre throughout high school and was apart of every production possible throughout her four years. She bounced from being onstage to working backstage, with her favorite backstage activity being Set Crew. She is a proud member of Honor Theatre Troupe 5483 and the improv team. Her senior year of High School she was the State Representative for Millard West High School and attended Nebraska Thespians Meetings on behalf of her school. Along with theatre she was involved in show choir at Millard West. She was in all three show choirs throughout her four years in high school. She graduated with honors and was apart of the Music and Theatre Honor Societies. Her Senior year of High School, Breanna participated in a High School Internship at The Rose Theater where she helped to facilitate classes with a lead teacher, ran lights and sound for student based productions, and learn more about the teaching artist field from trained professionals.

Breanna then went on to study Speech and Theatre Education at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. Throughout her four years at college she kept herself busy in her classes and extracurriculars. She was a member of the Student Speech and Theater Association of Missouri, Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority, and Student Government Association. Within the Student Speech and Theater Association of Missouri, she served as the SGA Representative for two years and President for her senior year. As president, she rewrote the bylaws for SSTAM, organized group meetings with her major, and helped to connect students to professional theater opportunities within her community. During her time in Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority, Breanna served as the Vice President of New Member Education. Through this position, she got the opportunity to put her teaching degree into practice by teaching the new members of Tri Sigma all about the sorority and helped them to become initiated members. Her sorority served The March of Dimes Foundation which helps premie babies and mothers get the care they need. Along with all of her extracurriculars, Breanna got the opportunity to direct and student teach within her time at Missouri State. She directed shows such as Crimes of the Heart and Hubie's Best Friend. She was a practicum student at multiple Middle Schools and High Schools in the area, and she Student Taught for her final semester at Glendale High School. She also was involved in the theater troupe In-School Players, that created filmed plays for elementary school students to view in their classrooms during COVID. Some notable classes she took were Directing 1/2, Stage Craft, Teaching for Non-English Speakers, Multicultural Education and Diversity, Education for Exceptional Students, Costume Construction, Stage Makeup, Lighting and Sound, and Teaching Speech and Debate.

Breanna currently works at The Rose Theater in Omaha, Nebraska as a Teaching Artist. Breanna is passionate about making theater accessible to all students and creating a safe place for students to grow and explore their passions. She loves that everyday, not only does she get to teach students all about theater, but she also gets the opportunity to learn from the students and teachers around her. She also enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, reading, creating Tik Tok videos, and crocheting!
